This project will make the introduction of a new antimalaria drug Tafenoquine possible,. With Tafenoquine a radical treatment of P. vivax malaria will be attained. A project in collaboration with the Surinamese Malaria Program, financed by a TDR grant. Time frame December 2021 till April 2022.

5. CUREMA Project

CUREMA, successor of the MALAKIT project which was helt from 2018 till 2020, is a project which started in collaboration with the Malaria Program, Centre Hospital de Cayenne, Fiocruz institute in Rio de Janeiro and is financed by the European development fund. This project tests innovative possibilities to control P. vivax malaria in mobile goldmining populations. Time frame: September 2022 through December 2023
