1. Quantitative Assessment of the Burden of priority infectious diseases in mobile migrant populations in the interior of Suriname

Commissioned by the Surinamese Ministry of Health Ministerie van Volksgezondheid and executed by the SWOS in collaboration with the surinamese Malaria program, finance by the IDB, Screening on HIV, Lepra, Tuberculose en Lepra. Timeframe: January 2022 till May 2022.

2. Feasibility of Quantitative G6PD Testing Using a Point of Care Device, by Community Health Workers

This project will make the introduction of a new antimalaria drug Tafenoquine possible,. With Tafenoquine a radical treatment of P. vivax malaria will be attained. A project in collaboration with the Surinamese Malaria Program, financed by a TDR grant. Time frame December 2021 till April 2022.

Time frame: April through July 2022

5. CUREMA Project

CUREMA, successor of the MALAKIT project which was helt from 2018 till 2020, is a project which started in collaboration with the Malaria Program, Centre Hospital de Cayenne, Fiocruz institute in Rio de Janeiro and is financed by the European development fund. This project tests innovative possibilities to control P. vivax malaria in mobile goldmining populations. Time frame: September 2022 through December 2023

6. Impact of Radiotherapy in Women with Cervical Cancer
